Gibson ES-335 TD

For your consideration is a Gibson ES-335 TD in Tobacco Sunburst pattern built July 31, 1978 serial number 72128014. This guitar has recently been examined by a local guitar dealer and is in very good to excellent condition. Six brand new Official USA Gibson Deluxe Tuning Pegs- Chrome w/ Aged White Keys, a brand new Fender F-1550 set of Light Jazz-Professional Compound wound electric guitar strings w/pure nickel wrap and a brand new original Gibson pick guard have been replaced on the guitar.

This ES-335 has what looks to be an extra toggle switch, it doesn't. Gibson did this with the ES-335 in the late 70's. It is a 2-way switch that splits the coil on both pick-ups. It is factory original. The coil tap switch allows one coil pick up of each humbucker to be in operation when required thus giving it a fender stratocaster tone or sound. There are 3 screw holes near the strap button from a Trapeze tailpiece that was removed before I owned the guitar. Included is the original Gibson hard-shell case. My late father lovingly owned this Gibson (his favorite) and played it every day. I am reluctantly selling it because I have medical bills to pay from surgery after a recent heart attack. Gibson currently sells their new ES-335 at $3500. Why risk it? Buy this Vintage, Gibson ES-335 and have the piece of mind that it will last a lifetime. I have an old Musart piano. My husband picked it up from a friend that was moving. I don't know how old it is. There is no bench and the music stand is broken off. However, it plays well and is in tune. You can sand it and re-stain it to match your furniture. It would be a great addition to a family room or for a person who is starting to learn the piano! |
